Profile of Alhaji Umaru Babagoro Muazu – Marafa Ubandoma, Gombe
Alhaji Umar Babagoro Muazu was born in Gombe, in Gombe State on 14th May, 1947. His father, Alhaji Muazu was born in Dukku. He rose through the Ranks of Gombe Native Authority to become the Ubandoma of Gombe. Babagoro Muazu attended various schools and worked in various places holding both Public Service and Political Appointments as follows:

          i.            Member Representing Gombe Federal Constituency in the 1988/1989 Constituent Assembly (CA).
         ii.            Gombe North Senate District Candidate, August 2010 and April 2011 under the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) party.

          i.            Retired Public Servant.
         ii.            Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Goro Petroleum Company Ltd, Gombe.

          i.            A very keen Footballer in his younger days.




 
          i.            He now spends most of his leisure time reading Political Literature and watching Football games.

 

Alhaji Umar Babagoro Muazu is a devout Muslim. He is married to Hajiya Salamatu, daughter of Alhaji Umaru Maiguwa, a renowned Mechanical Engineer at Gombe Native Authority Garage in Gombe. He is blessed with seven children, six boys and a girl.
