Alhaji Umar Babagoro Muazu was born in Gombe, in Gombe State
on 14th May, 1947. His father, Alhaji Muazu was born in Dukku. He
rose through the Ranks of Gombe Native Authority to become the Ubandoma of
Gombe. Babagoro Muazu attended various schools and worked in various places

Alhaji Umar
Babagoro Muazu is a devout Muslim. He is married to Hajiya Salamatu, daughter
of Alhaji Umaru Maiguwa, a renowned Mechanical Engineer at Gombe Native
Authority Garage in Gombe. He is blessed with seven children, six boys and a
girl.
